Whaat was the URL (Internet address) of this article? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Lois Long Carey Sent: Sunday, November 09, 2008 11:12 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [PACE] article on the internet about interracial family of a Thomas West, landowner in Amherst and Albemarle Counties of Va-see Pace-West connection below This is a long article by a Joshua D. Rothman and speaks of a will made in Sept. 1796 by a Thomas West who named as heirs, two of his children, James Henry West and Nancy West, both free people of color. Thomas West was a white blacksmith. I find this interesting as William Joseph Pace b. Mar. 27,1837 married a Mary J. West on April 26, 1854. William Joseph Pace was a son of William Moment Pace and Dicy King.I have never seen anything on the parentage of Mary j. West. There was a chancery Suit between my Pace family and the family of William Moment Pace. Also I do not know of any DNA test having been done of the descendents of William Moment Pace. Just found this interesting due to the recent conversastions of tri-racial families. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Please note: My new email address is [email protected] Please remove [email protected] from your address books and files so that we can stay in touch! ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message No virus found in this incoming message.
