    3. "Wednesday, January 12, 1859 DEATH. Died, at the residence of his son in Walker County, Texas, Elder Richard Pace, near eighty years of age. He was born in South Carolina, Edgefield District, where he lived till he arrived at the age of manhood, when he moved to Lincoln County, Georgia, where he married Miss Amey Bisey. He then moved to Putnam County, joined the Baptist Church and was baptized at Crooked Creek, by Rev. E. Mosely. Served his country in 1812. He was a laborious and devoted Minister of the Gospel, up to the time of his death, which occurred on the 28th of November, 1858.
