Do we know anything more about William Davis? or what happened to the Bible? I was reading on the internet "The History of Albemarle County,Va by Rev.Edgar Woods. It is a very interesting read for me since I descend from John Pace of Middlesex and Paces of Albemarle and Fluvanna Counties Have also been told that my ancestors were from Wales Just a little from it: The Floyd family states that about 1680 a Nathaniel Davis,Native of Wales married a child of Nicketti,Daughter of Indian Chief Opechancnough ( sounds like Chanco!) brother of Powhatan and that a Robert Davis was a son of these parents and an ancestor of Jefferson Davis Just thought it would be interesting to follow up on these people!
