Today in looking for my Dunn-Pace-Payne people I see where one of the children of William Dunn b. 17 Oct 1752 is mentioned in his will as being :Jane Dunn Mendenhall. ( I believe her to be related to Elborn Mendenhall, If he is interested I will e-mail what I may have found on the genealogy of Joyce Shannon I seem to remember that Elborn Mendenhall is a minister in the midwest(possibly Kansas).
