Back in 1999, I received the following e mail from Bruce Howard concerning my g grandmother. "I don't know if we are talking about the same person or no. I believe we are and hte reason I believe we are is because Martha Jane Pace of 1865 is the only one by that name born in that year in east TN. She was born, according to her father's family bible, Martha Jane Pace in Blount County, TN on July 20, 1865. Her father was William Monroe Pace and her mother was Mrs. Sarah Pace, nee Moore. Her mother died when she was about 11 years of age and her father carried her and her one surviving brother over into Sevier County where he remarried and had several children by his second wife."
