I don't think anyone has a maiden name for Mary, wife of William Pace of Washington's Guard. We know Raymond Ruch put the Elizabeth Wade guess to rest. I don't believe she was a Thomas. Maybe someone can put this guess to rest? Jim Brown

There is a 1797 marriage in Fluvanna Co., VA, for William Pace and Mary Thomas. I have a note that Rev William Baskett performed the marriage. William Baskett was the husband of Mary Pace, sister of William Pace of Washington's Guard. I don't know who the William Pace that married Mary Thomas is, but the 1797 marriage date is after the birth of all our William Pace's (Washington's Guard) children. Does anyone know the ancestry of William Pace who married Mary Thomas?
