Ricky: Thanks for the reply. I'd begun to wonder if anyone else in the world was interested in this particular branch of the family! I've come to many of the same conclusions you have. I do think that the tombstone date may be slightly in error, however. Levi and Henry were cited as age 6 in the 1860 census, 16 in 1870, and 26 in 1880. Levi gave his birth as July 1853 in the 1900 census, which is consistent with the other three. (Interestingly, Henry gave his as August 1853...different month!) I have put together an article about Levi, which I'm sending you off-list. I live in Valdese, NC, about 90 minutes from the Hendersonville area. I get up that way several times a year. Phillip Heavner
