    3. Sorry if my "short hand" confused anyone. I didn't intend to mean that Portland Gordon Pace was part of the lineage. "Portland" Gordon Pace is the moderator of this list. I use that name to differentiate him from "Ontario" Gordon Pace who is also active on the list. One lives in Portland Oregon. The other lives in Ontario, Canada. Jonathan A. Larrett Trammell) lived in Cobb County from about 1835 until his death in 1873. They had the following children: i. Harriet Ann10 Pace, born 11 Jan 1834 in SC; died 29 Jul 1884 in Haralson Co, GA. ii. Nancy Jane Pace, born 21 Jan 1836 in Georgia; died 17 Nov 1922 in Cobb Co., GA. iii. Stephen Pace, born 1838. iv. Joyce Pace, born 10 Jul 1840 in GA; died 22 Apr 1910 in Cobb Co., GA. v. John Thomas Pace, born Nov 1843 in GA; died 05 Dec 1923 in Fulton Co., Georgia. vi. James L. Pace, born 1844 in Georgia; died Aft. 1900 in Prob. AL. vii. William Norris Pace, born 1846 in GA; died 12 Dec 1929. viii. Henry T. Pace, born 1849 in Georgia. ix. Marietta Pace, born 24 Sep 1855 in Georgia; died 03 May 1920 in AL. As far as I know there is no Portland Gordon Pace in this family so perhaps there was a third branch of the Pace family in Cobb County. -----Original Message----- From: pace-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:pace-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Jon Pace Sent: Monday, December 14, 2009 9:17 PM To: pace@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PACE] New results kit 163681 Roy, When my Great Grandfather, George Robert PACE, moved into Cobb County GA from nearby Milton/Fulton County (adjacent on the east) it established a THIRD branch of the PACE family in Cobb & Paulding County's. Paulding is adjacent to Cobb on the west. Prior to about 1902 there were two different branches. One was the family of Hardy PACE (of Pace's Ferry fame) and his Uncle John PACE a judge of Cobb County in whose home the first elections of Cobb County were held in the early 1830's. The second branch was the Cobb/Paulding branch. I have no details of this branch but believe it is the branch from which Portland Gordon PACE descends. Jonathan A.
