Wit: Richard Fathers, William Wightman, Joseph Cooper Signed: James Poore Solomon Allen, Notary Publick" And here is Clement Marsh's letter to his brother Robert in London, asking him to pay the debt: "York River in Virginia, 2 Nov 1670 Brother: Ten days after sight of this my first bill of exchange, pay to Mr. James Poore or his order sum of 14 Pounds and you will oblige your loving brother and servant.
