When my grgrandfather David C.Robinson b.1789 married his first wife Mary Hodges in 1813 in Goochland County,Va,-Sur was Stephen Johnson David also enlisted in the war of 1812 the same year. Could this Stephen Johnson be connected to the Stephen Johnson mentioned in recent Posts on this list? and would he have a connection to David Robinson or Mary Hodges? David and Mary Hodges had several children who later resided in Fluvanna County,Va David Robinson later married my grgrandmother, Mary Herndon in Fluvanna County.Va Mary Herndon Robinson received a pension and bounty warrants for his service in the war of 1812 Their daughter,Rebecca Robinson born July, 1853 married John Walker Pace born 1843 in Fluvanna Co Va When Mary Herndon Robinson applied for the pension the information was attested to by John R.Pace,b. 1809;her Father-in-law. Birthplace and Parents of David Robinson are still unknown to me. Would appreciate any information.
Lois: I believe that your Stephen Johnson is a generation after Stephen Johnson who married Susannah Pace daughter of John Pace and Susannah Houchins who died after 1813. her husband Stephen Johnson died in 1805.in Amherst Co.Va.
