    1. [PACE] New DNA results in Burrel Pace group
    2. Roy Johnson
    3. New 67 marker DNA results have been posted for kit number 127433, who gives the following lineage: donor father James Mitchel Pace Josephus Pace Hiram Kimsey Pace Daniel Kimsey Pace Burell Pace John Pace m. Sarah Perfect 25/25 match for the modal in group 3b. This donor submits the same lineage from grandfather on back as kit number 13700 and matches 24/25 with 13700. 36/37 match for the modal in group 3b. The only difference is in marker 35 with a one step mutation. This same mutation is shown in kit number 6280, who posts this lineage: 1. 0. Donor 2. 1. Father 3. 3. Grandfather 4. GEORGE ROBERT PACE was born on September 27, 1864 in Milton County, GA + DORA ELLEN TURLEY (Documented) 5. JONATHAN PACE was born on April 1, 1815 in Rutherford County, NC + MARY THOMPSON (Documented) 6. CORNELIUS PACE was born about 1787 in Spartanburg County, SC + ? ROYAL (Relationship tenuous but probable; some documentation) 7. BURRELL PACE was born about 1758 in Prince George County, VA + LYDIA WOODRUFF (Documentation; relationship highly probable) 8. JOHN PACE However there is a difference of 1 in these donors in marker 23. The similarity in marker 35 may not have much meaning. I have the chart ready to post when the site is back in operation. 1. [PACE] New DNA results for Twitty Pace descendent
    2. Roy Johnson
    3. Kit 55000 submits this lineage: . Donor * 1. Father * 2. Grandfather * 3. JOHN ASHLY PACE b Oct 1861 Fannin Co. TX d Abt. 1921/22 -----Lamar or Fannin Co. TX + GEORGIE MAE SCALES (sources for John and Georgie are verbal information from living individuals, including my father, grandmother, and great aunt. Some of my family still residing in Fannin/Grayson/Lamar county have most of the documented sources from the court houses in those counties. I have received most of my information from them via emails; 1870, 1900, 1910, 1920, and 1930 census records) * 4. ASHLEY L. PACE b 12 Dec 1834 AR d 7 Feb 1863 Grayson Co. TX; (same sources as above; 1860 census record) + ARAMINTA DAVIS m. 20 Dec 1860 Fannin Co. TX (2nd Wife, mother of John Ashly) * 5. TWITTY PACE b 29 Dec 1789 Greenville Co., SC d 11 Feb 1849 Fannin Co., TX + SUSANNAH DUNCAN m. 19 Apr 1810 Warren Co., Kentucky (Twitty Pace Bible, owned by Bland and Simeon Smith of Bonham, TX... published in the Fannin County Folks and Facts book (Bonham Public Library - 1977) DNA results for alleles 1-25 were inconclusive showing possible inclusion in group 3b with three differences-the borderline area. Results for 26-37 show conclusively that this donor is NOT in 3b. Modal for 3b 26-37: 11 11 19 22 16 15 17 17 36 40 12 12 Results for kit 55000: 10 10 23 23 16 15 20 16 37 37 12 12 As you can see, there are almost too many differences to count. I will need to remove this kit from the 3b chart to the unidentified Paces chart. Are there any other Twitty Pace descendents out there? It would be good to get more DNA. Roy Johnson

    3. Lois: On 8/11/2008 you reported about a Walker Floyd Payne of El Paso, who, per his passport application, was a son of David Hamilton Payne b. in the Shenandoah Valley of VA. You said that "research shows that he was a son of Eliza Ann Pace and David Hamilton Pace who were m. in Petersburg City, VA on Feb 19, 1845." I don't understand how a David Hamilton Payne could be a son of a David Hamilton Pace - why would there be a change in the surname. My record shows that David Hamilton Payne m. Ann Elizabeth Pace on 2/18/1845 in Dinwiddie, Co, VA. She was a daughter of James Pace and Ann Leigh Phillips. My only record of their children was Jesse Bignal Pace but I have also added Walker Floyd Pace as another child. You also mentioned a Joseph Farrar Pace. I have three Joseph Farrar Paces in my database, but none of them seem to be related to David Hamilton Pace or Payne. The earliest one is Joseph Farrar Pace b. 1859 m. Willie in 1884 in VA. He was a son of William A. Pace b. 1831 VA and Maria Farrar. The other two Joseph Farrar Paces were his descendants. Gordon W. 1. [PACE] Jon's cousin

    3. This is for the new member of the Pace group, Jon. Jon, I am also a descendant of William Pace and Ruth Lambert. My line goes from them through their son, John Pace, Sr. who was married to Sarah Anderson. John Pace, Sr. died during the War of 1812 in New Orleans as did his brother James Pace. My line goes like this: William Pace and Ruth Lambert Pace were my GGGGG Grandparents. John Pace, Sr. and Sarah Anderson were my GGGG Grandparents. John Pace, Jr. and Sarah [ Sallie] McCracken were my GGG Grandparents. Lenny Pace Lemmon and Robert Allen Lemmon were my GG Grandparents. Jefferson Davis Lemmon and Naomi Halbert Lemmon were my Great Grandparents. William Lambert Lemmon and Bess Tate Lemmon were my maternal Grandparents. Billie Jean Lemmon Little and Dorman D. Little were my parents. Me: Jane Ellen Little McEndree... My information is that William Pace, Jr. was born abt. 1750 in Franklin Co, N.C. and died on Nov. 30, 1834 in Rutherford Co, Tenn. Ruth Lambert was born abt. 1750 in Mecklenberg, Va. and died abt. 1800. John Pace, Sr. was born in, 1784 in Nash, N.C. and died on Jan. 8, 1815 in New Orleans, La. During the War of 1812. John Pace, Jr. was born on April 18, 1812 in Tenn. And died on April 7, 1874 in Ellis County, Texas. He is buried in the Pace Cemetery in Palmer, Texas. Lenny Pace Lemmon was born May 16, 1839 in Rutherford Co, Tenn. And died Sept. 27, 1867 in Texas. She is buried in Lancaster, Texas in Dallas County. Jefferson Davis Lemmon was born June 2, 1861 near Bear Creek near Lancaster, Texas and died Oct. 15, 1944 in Ferris,Texas in Ellis County. William Lambert Lemmon, my grandfather was born Oct. 1, 1894 in Trumbull, Texas in Ellis County. He died on Feb. 3, 1970 in Dallas, Texas. Notice that my grandfather's middle name was Lambert and he was named after Ruth Lambert Pace and his first name was William probably after Ruth husband, William Pace. There were several people in our family tree who had Lambert in their name. Good luck in your research. I do not have a male Pace from my line that I know of to have tested on the DNA. I wish I did. I would love to have someone in my direct Pace line tested. My family was big on naming kids after their ancestors. Jane Little McEndree Jane Little McEndree [email protected]

I will have a little time to do a little exploring of my Pace ancestry while there. I expect to walk the area around Wapping and St. Dunstan's Church. But I am looking for suggestions what I should look for and things to notice while there. I will be taking my digital cameras as well.
