    3. Wow, a new one on me, but I did find a Major in Monroe Co., so you might hold on to it. Major, N. O., of the Major Hotel, at Hallstead, Sus. Co. His grandfather, Wilson Major, native f Monroe Co, member of the Baptist Church. he died 1889. Among his children; Helen, married Henry Wilsey, and died at Tyler Hill. Hiram, Gertrude, who married M. Fredenburg, of St Paul, Minn., William, Anna, the wife of Mr. Wheeler of Dakota, and Milton of Honesdale. Subject's father was born in Wyconming Co, he moved to Broome county, NY. Civil war vet. He married to _____, Children; Sarah, wife George W. Burnside, of Alton, IL., N. O., subject, Ida the wife of E.E. Brown, William, of NY., Gertrude, wife of Jacob Wallace, of NY and George and Louis, of NY. N.O. Majors, was born Jan 29, 1862, of Damascus, Wayne township. On Sept 25, 1889, he married Anna Reinhart, who was born in Tannersville, Monroe County and had children; Charles, Helen and Franklin. Cool, George R., of Auburn township, Sus. Co. was born July 31, 1826, s/o William and Catharine (White) Cool., who came to Sus. Co., in 1848. George R., was married Feb 21, 1852 to Mary Stone, Children; Macrina, who married Smith Dornblazer, John F., married Emma Allen and Alice, wife Abram Lake.. Mrs. Cool, was born Oct 29, 1832, in Warren County, NJ, a d/o Daniel and Alice (Witzel) Stone.. born in Ireland, who came to America to take part in the Rev., he remained in this county. Mrs. Cool's maternal grandparents, were Maria and Martha Witzel, lifelong residents of Monroe Co. Daniel and Alice (Witzel) Stone moved from Monroe Co. their native place to Warren Co.
