Christian was married twice, Elizabeth McDaniel, his first wife was born Feb. 1, 1795, and died Nov. 5, 1826. Anna Maria Klotz, was a daughter of this couple, b. June 20, 1824, she married I believe Edward Graver, given as Grover in the History of Carbon County, 1888 edition. Their other children were Hon. Robert Klotz, b. Oct. 27, 1819, Charlotte Klotz, b. abt. 1822, Ammon Klotz, b. abt. 1819, married 1st. Rebecca Dreisbach, 2, Lucy unknown, and Joseph Klotz, b. May 24, 1826, blacksmith, married a Mary A. Unknown, moved to Pittston, and had a daughter Ida, who married George Washington Shonk. This last is from the history of Luzerne County PA. Christian married second, Lydia Meyer, b. abt. 1810, they married at Towamensing Church, June 20, 1829. Christian and Lydia had: Silas, b. March 1, 1830, William b. Dec. 3, 1831; possibly Elizabeth, b. abt. 1836; and Thomas Jefferson b. July 4, 1845. I did not have Silas' death year and burial place, thank you very much for that information. Christian was buried next to his first wife in Mahoning. He was a miller, their mill was at Hoppes Mill about 10 miles west of Lehighton in Mahoning Twp., Carbon County.
