    1. [PACARBON] Henry DIEHL d ca 1858 in Banks Twp
    2. My gggrandmother Elizabeth MALKAMES was married to a man named DIEHL before she married my gggrandfather, a miner, ca 1862 and lived in Hazleton, Luzerne Co. A family tree on Ancestry shows she was married to Henry DIEHL, and that he died in 1858 in Bank Twp, Carbon Co. There's a good chance he was a miner, but I'm guessing. I'm trying to confirm the name of Elizabeth's first husband, what happened to him and when, and who were his children. This is the first solid lead I've had (though the person who placed the tree on Ancestry has not responded to my query). I believe the family immigrated from Germany in the early 1850s (so they wouldn't show in the 1850 census) and I can't find her in the 1860 census (at least on Heritage Quest, where search is by HOH). They had 2 known children, and possibly 5 total. The known children are Henry, b 1855 in PA, and Charles, b 1857 in PA. I suspect an older child may have been named Adam. I have no further information. Any help/suggestions on this family is greatly appreciated!! Sharon ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
