Looking back before Northampton county was divided into Wayne and sequentially into Carbon, Monroe, etc., we find the following census record that could be our ancestor's father: > [**A WILLIAM(S) HARRIS appears in 1800 census for DELAWARE TOWNSHIP, > Wayne County. > Census information: 3-1-0-1-0 || 1-0-1-0-0-0-0 > Ages of above categories: > 3 males b/n 0-10 (one of these would be Wm. b. 1798) > 1 male b/n 10-16 > 0 males b/n 16-26 > 1 male b/n 26-45 > 0 males 45+ > > 1 female b/n 0-10 > 0 females b/n 10-16 > 1 female b/n 16-26 > 0 females 26-45 > 0 females 45+ > > Given the above figures, William Harris of Delaware Twp., Wayne County > was born between 1755 and 1774. > His wife (female in the household) was born between 1774 and 1784, and > they had three boys in the decade 1790-1800, with one son born > earlier. (One female b. between 1790 and 1800 as well.) Does anyone have a suggestion regarding tracing this man's whereabouts?
