Haiges, 61, of 402 N. 2nd St., Lehighton, died at 9:15 p.m. Friday enroute to the Coaldale hospital in the Lehighton ambulance. Born in White Haven, he has resided in Lehighton since 1915 and was employed by the Lehigh Valley Railroad Co. since then. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, the Moose at Lehighton and Trinity Lutheran church, Lehighton. His wife, the former Margaret Furey, preceded him in death by six years. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Wilmer McClellan, Summit Hill; Mrs. Harry Haldeman, Summit Hill; Margaret, at home, and Mrs. Marvin Roberts, Walnutport; lone son, Eugene, Allentown. A sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Adams, White Haven; a brother, Fred Haiges, White Haven, and five grandchildren, also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at his home, 402 N. 2nd St., Lehighton. Rev. Thomas Atkinson, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, will officiate. Interme! nt will be made in the Lehighton cemetery.
