Soldier died 23 Jan 1823 in Orange Co Philip, VA Line, applied 1834 Washington County, Ohio, soldier was born in 1757 near Phila., PA, he lived at Harrison Co., VA at enlistment and in 1777 he had moved to a branch of the Monogahela River . Koons Lawrance, wife Mary, PA Line, soldier applied 1832 in Perry Co and soldier died there 20 Feb 1841 and his widow died there 26 Jan 1846 leaving children; Mary Sikz and Jane Wendi Coon Ebenezer, wife Amy, soldier's son Dennis Coon applied 1847 in Westmoreland Co, a resident of Bullskin township in Fayette Co. Soldier and wife, Amy maried 8 July 1777, soldier died 4 July 1831 and widow died 29 Dec 1836. Soldier married Julian or Julia Ann Caves or Cares 8 Sept 1778 and she was born in 1761. Soldier died on Christmas Day 1832. Children; Elizabeth, Mary, Cty, Peter, George, David, Hannah. Luzerne Co Koons, De Witt Clinton, was born in Hunting township, March 21 1835, s/o William and Sara ( Fuller) Koons. His paternal grandfather was Daniel Koons, formerly of Cherry Valley, Monroe Co. In 1859 he married Henrietta S. Culver, d/o Daniel and Charlotte (Tubbs) Culver. Children; John S., Cordelia H. married Thomas R. Search, and Susan who married Henry G. Long Koons, F.A. B. of Huntington township, was born April 7 1831 at New Columbus, s/o John and Mary (Fellows) Koons, natives, respectively of Monroe and Luzernes counties, the father was a merchant and surveyor, and at one time was asociate judge of the county. He came to this county in 1819, and died Feb 8 1878 aged 83. Mr. F.A.B. Koons married June 30 1855 to Helenr., d/o Theopoli and Elizabeth (Smith) Larned, natives of the Wyoming Valley. He was the grandson of Daniel Koons, a native of Northampton County. Koons, Henry C., he was a native of Lehighton, Carbon County, born Dec 17, 1843, s/o John and Maria (Snyder) Koons, both natives of Northampton. He married in 1871 Rhoda Giffon of Buck Mountain, Carbon Co. Children; Anna married Charles Raudenbush of Freeland, Laura, Freddie and Thalie W. Koons, James S., was born April 1, 1837, s/o William and Sarah (Fuller) Koons. William Koons was a farmer and he died Dec 14, 1885 aged 85. He was the son of Daniel and Susanna (Brown) Koons James married Jan 1 1859 to Jerusha C., d/o William P. Robinson, of Fairmount. Children; Bertha, wife of William Eveland, and they had one child, Fred. Lissie wife of C. P. Horned, and had one child, Warren K. Ernest B. married Nettie Kingsbury and had one child, Esther R., Sue L., and Ruth R. Members of the M.E. Church Koons, J. S., was born at Pine Grove, Schuylkill county, April 1, 1851 s/o John and Elizabeth (Smith) Koons. The paternal grandfather was John Koons, a native of France. The maternal grandfather was Martin Smith, of Berks Co. The father of J. S. was a native of Berks Co, and moved to Lebanon Co. J. S. married in 1870 to Solmy, d/o John Houtz, of Tower City, Schuylkill Co. Children; Oscar, James, Sally, Charles, Bessie, Benjamin H., Caroline (twins) and Ridgeway M. Lehigh County Koons, William, grandfather of William J., was a son of Jacob Koons, of Northampton. He was married twice, the second time to a Miss Buch. William is the son of the second marriage, married Maria Beck. Children; Sarah married Leon Hunsicker. Ida. William married Anna Silfies, Edwin married Lucy Hoch. Milton, married Ellen Fenstermaker, and Ellen married John Jones. William Koons, was born in Lehigh township, Northampton Co, Nov 17, 1841. On May 18 1867 he married Sarah Anna Silfies. She was the d/o Benjamin Silfies and his wife Lydia Anthony. She was born Dec 16, 1840. Children; William J. and Stella Anna, the wife of Earl T. Diefenderfer. William J., was born at Catasauqua, June 23, 1868. In 1895 he married Sadie E. Keiper, d/o Charles and Sadie (Zellner) Keiper. They had one daughter, Elsie Irene. Best Wishes, Geri
