I'm looking for info on William Strohl (6.27.1824 - 5.8.1870) and his first wife Lovina Blose (6.23.1828 - 8.24.1858). This couple is buried in the Towamensing Cemetery, above Palmerton. This is what I know: William is the son of Peter Strohl (b. Abt 1794) and Elisabeth ? (b. Abt 1799). I don't know Lovina's parents, yet! I believe they had 5 children: Alfred b. 1849; Sarah Ann (11.15.1850 - 2.10.1913, my ancestor); Emeline (6.17.1852 - 10.10.1853); Edwin (b abt 1853); Harrison (11.22.1853 - 1.31.1854). Possible that Edwin and Harrison were twins??? Don't know for sure. Here they are in the census: 1850 census: Upper Towamensing, Carbon Co. pg.396, 9/18/1850 house # 20, family # 20 William Strole, 28, M, Farmer, $800 real estate Lovina, 23, F Alfred, 1, M After Lovina died, William married Harriet Arner, by 1860, (who was the widow of Isaac Ziegenfuss). 1860 census: Franklin Twp., Carbon Co. pg. 34, 7/14/1860 house #738, family # 247 William Strohl, 32, M, Farmer, $2400 real estate, $250 personal prop. Harriet, 28, F Alfred, 11, M Sarah A., 10, F Edwin, 7, M Eliza Ziegenfuss, 7, F Elmina, 11, F If anyone has info on this Strohl or Blose I would love to hear from you. I have a lot of info on other Strohl's and Blose's but haven't been able to connect these two to the main families. Thanks. Michelle
