And it stated, "Killiam Weis Sr., grandfather, was born Dec 15, 1751, and died Feb. 16. 1840, and was buried in Hereford Mennonite Church at Bally of which he and his wife were members. In the Federal census of 1790 he was recorded as a taxable of Upper Milford township, Northampton county (now Lehigh county) Listed as himself, his wife, Catharine Landis, and 6 sons, Jacob, John, George, Henry, Killian, and Samuel, (3 that were under 16), and 3 daughters, Anna married John Ehst, Kate married Henry Shelly, and Hannah, married Isaac Longarce. In Upper Milford township, there also lived a Jacob Weis, brother of Killian, Sr., In 1790 he had 2 sons and 3 daughters. Killian Weis, son of Killian Sr., was born 21 Jan 1788, died Dec 23, 1874. He was a life long farmer, and in 1819 he bought the Ehst farm.His name has been spelled Weis and Wise. He married Barbara Shelly,born Jan 31, 1790, and died June 20, 1886. They had 7 sons and 2 daughters, Jacob 1825, ded 1899, Catharine and Franklin, twins 1826, Catharine died 1849 and Franklin in 1888. Henry, born 1827, died 1908. Killian,born 1828, born 1904.
