The family later changed the name to ALLIS. I was unaware of her divorce to Reuben KURTZ (marraige application indicates KUTZ). According to the obit for her father, Frederick AHLERS, she was still Mrs. Reuben KURTZ in 1907. Her mother's (Anna C. ____) will written in 1913 and the codicil in July 1914 also indicate the Kurtz surname. Her mother's obit in Nov. 1914 does not mention survivors, but Burton Kurtz was mentioned as travelling from Lansford to attend the funeral. Lizzie's family was from Germany>Mauch Chunk, Carbon Co. I am also researching the surname Kertz. My Kertz are from Endingen, Freiburg, Baden, Germany I have only just recently found this line. It is from the 1600's Germany. I have some information on this line.
