I posted this message yesterday. Just to answer a few of your questions. I had the name of the center incorrect. I was only there once (honestly wasn't impressed)and couldn't remember the name. With one of the list members assistance, the name is Carbon County Archives. It is in Jim Thorpe about a block away from the courthouse. It's just a small room with 2 microfilm readers and a few spools to look at (at least that's what it was when I was there last spring). I believe the films were just labeled birth and death records. Hope this helps. Sorry for the confusion. Michelle > Hello all, > I copied these records from a microfilm at (I believe this is the name) the Carbon County Ancestry Center. It had just opened in Jim Thorpe when I was there. These are all names that I'm researching but couldn't tie into my data. If anyone figures out connections, I'd appreciate it if you let me know. It might help me unravel some of my own mysteries. This film was very hard to read so I urge you to verify all dates. > Thanks. > Michelle > > Birth > Aug 15 1897 in Nis Hollow > son: Albert Johnson Miller > F: Elias Miller > M: Harriet Rex > Residence: Nis Hollow > Occupation: Laborer > > Deaths: > Thomas Blose, White, Male, 69, Married > POB (Place of birth): Fireline > Occupation: Laborer > Date of Death: Dec 30 1893 > POD (Place of death) Hazard > Cause of death, length of illness: Grippe, 6 days > Burial: Jan 1 1894, St. John's, Towamensing > F: Daniel Blose > M: Elizabeth Blose > > Louisa Blose, white, Female, 45, Married > POB (Place of birth): Lehigh Gap > Occupation: House Keeper > Date of Death: Apr 3 1894 > POD (Place of death): Fireline > Cause of death, length of illness: Cancer, 1 year > Burial: Apr 6 1894, St. John's, Towamensing > F: Henry Stemmler > M: Nary Stemmler > > Sallyann Borger, White, Female, 74, Widow > POB (Place of birth): Ross Twp., Monroe > Occupation: none listeed > Date of Death: Dec 5 1894 (hard to read, possibly wrong) > POD (Place of death) Meskenville > Cause of death, length of illness: Cancer, 6 years > Burial: Dec 8 1894 (?), Albrightsville > F: Mr. Bond > M: Mrs. Bond > > Ida S.
