Lendvay, Sr., 64, of 217 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton, died Wednesday in Mease Hospital, Dunedin, Fla., after being stricken while on vacation. He was the husband of Carolyn (Cressman) Lendvay. He worked in the 42-inch mill at Bethlehem Steel Corp. for more than 30 years until retiring in 1976. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Frank J. Sr. and Theresa (Pondelek) Lendvay. He served with the Army during World War II. Surviving with his widow are a son, William J., Jr. of Center Valley; two daughters, Carol, wife of David Smale of Kresgeville; and Susan, wife of James Valo of Allentown; three brothers, John S., Joseph C. and Frank J., Jr., all of Palmerton, and eight grandchildren. Services will be announced by the Charles H. Campion Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton.
