    3. 25 Jan 1811, Estate of Nicholas Klotz, Whitehall township, exs' Abraham Rex and Elizabeth Klotz. 21 Aug 1807, Estate of Jacob Steffy, Macungie township, widow Mary, children, Jacob Jr. Frederick, Jonathan, Isaac, Philip, Magdalena, wife of John Clouse, Mary, wife of Abraham Klotz, Elizabeth, wife of Daniel Hughs, Catharine, wife of Solomon Swartz Deed 5, May 5, 1773, for love and affection to their son and 390 pounds (pages 475-477) Grantors; Lewis Klotz, Macungie Township, and wife, Christeana. Grantee, John Nicholas Klotz Klotz, Robert, (Major) of Mauch Chunk. His great-grandfather, Jacob Klotz, came to America from Wurtemberg, German, in 1749, and settled in Lowhill township, Northampton County (Now Lehigh), where in 1767 he located land. A few years later, his son John, married Fronia Krous, and located land in that same township. He died there. Chirstian, father of Major Robert, was born in 1789, and about 1814 left his native township, settling soon afterward in Mahoming township, Carbon Co. He married 1816 to Elizabeth MacDaniel, d/o Robert MacDaniel, whose wife was Elizabeth Kicks, a Quarkeress. Robert Klotz, their second son, was born in Northampton Co., the part that is now Carbon, Oct 27, 1819 After his return to his home in Mauch Chunk, Major Klotz served two terms in PA Legislature . and in 1845 he moved to Kansas. He returned to Carbon Co and served as County Treasurer. He married in 1849 to SAllie Lentz, d/o Col. John Lentz; and to them one son, Lentz Edmund, who married in April 1879 to Emma . Laubach, d/o of Joseph Laubach of Bethlehem. Lowhill township, Jacob Klotz,the ancestor emigrated from Germany with his wife, who ws born in Uteloch. He took a warrant for a tract of land in Lowhill, March 1767 and another Nov of the same yea. They had two sons, John and Casper. John maried Franconia Krouse. John had 5 sons, John, George, Jacob, Christian,and Daniel, the latter being twins, and 4 daughters, Barbara, Polly, Catharine, and Maria. John, Jacob, Chritian and Daniel, all settled in Mahoning township, Carborn Co. John took that part lying near where now the Morgenlander Church stands, he later moved ti East Penn township. About the year 1825, George Klotz, the father and the grandfather of the Klotzs, of Lowhill, opened a hotel at the old stand, he had nine sons, Abraham, died at 16, Andrew married Catharine Semmell, George, by his marriage to his first marriage to a Miss Haas and by his second to a Miss Sell, born Dormoyer; Stephen to Julia Weeder, Joel, by his fist married to a Miss Hausman, and by his second to a Mrs. Kern; Peter to Miss Lowrey, Jesse to Lucinda Smith, DAvid died single, and William; also two daughter, Sallie married Jacob Miller, and Elizabeth, to Elias Stettler. Andrew lived in the township until his death, which occured 7 years ago (1884), his wife died a few years before. They are buried in the Morgenlander Church. They had 8 children, of whom Reuben and Solomon are still living in the township (1884) and other in differnet parts of the county. George had 3 sons and 4 daughter. He died about 12 years ago, buried at Morgenlander Church Stepehn and wife still living in township (1884) Jesse, his two daughters are living in Alletown, one son in Northampton Co., and one in Iowa Joel, had 6 son and 4 daughters. Klotz,Christian, was born in Lowhill township, Northampton, May 14, 1789. he was a miller by trade, and about 1814 came to the Landing Tavern, on the Lehigh River. In married Elizabeth McDaniel, d/o Robert McDaniel. His wife died Nov 5, 1826 aged 31 leaving 5 children, Ammon, of Franklin township Robert, of Mauch Chunk Charlotte, the wife of Mr. Yost, of Franklin township, Anna,married__ Gruver and Joseph, of Pittston, Luzerne Co. Christian was recorder of deeds of Carbon Co., and he was a member of Congress in the 46th Congress. Christian maried 2nd, and had several children. He died at Lehighton, March 12, 1848 aged 58 and his buried by the side of his first wife in the Moravian Cemetery. John, Jacob and Daniel Klotz, brothers of Christian came to the Mahoning Valley and settled. John died in Lehightn in 1829. Jacob and Daniel lived and died in Mahoning Valley Best Wishes, Geri

Klotz who was a dentist in Allentown and his wife Mary? he is listed on the 1929 Allentown City Directory on Page 451. it sayd he had his practice at 625 Hamilton St. and lived at 1222 Lehigh (Ave?), wife was Mary.
