Grandparents, John and Hannah Baker, the former of Chester Co.; she was the niece of Daniel Boone. Their son Joseph Baker, was born June 26, 1768 in Chester County. He married Mary Baldwin, who was born in Chester Co., PA., May 7, 1769, d/o William and Deborah Baldwin. Children; John, born 1788, married Emily Johnson and resided in Dimoc township, Sus. Co.; Deborah married Amos Baldwin, and resided in Chester Co.' Hannah born 1791 married Abraham Bailey of Sus. Co.; William; Mary, born 1794 married Levi Bailey of Chester Co., Eli, born 1799, Eliza, born 1801, married Samuel Woodward, of Brooklyn township, Margaret, married Ezekiel W. Harlan, of Mauch Chuck, Carbon Co., Julia, was 1804; Elizabeth, born 1806, married George Gates, of Dimock, Abeline, married Urbane Smith. All came to Sus. Co., except Deborah who settled in Chester Co. Best Wishes, Geri
