Daniel Dorney, s/o Daniel. He died `1788, he married in 1771 to Eva Barbara Guth, d/o Lorentz Guth Sr., she was born Jan 8, 1749, and died Sept 5, 1826. They had two children; Eva Catharine Dorney born Jan 30, 1772, married a Mr. Myer, and Peter Dorney, born Jan 5, 1815. He was a saddler and they had no children. Eva Barbara Dorney widow of Daniel Mertz, married George Henry Mertz, who was born Sept 4, 1755, and died July 23, 1827, and had one son, Henry Mertz who was born July 21,1782, died March 11, 1844. Peter, the saddler, having no children, left his property to his god-son, Charles Mertz, the son of his step-brother Mertz. Adam Dorney, was was probably a brother of Daniel Sr., died in 1818, he was an ensign in the Rev. He and his wife Eva Margaret had children;Peter, Adam, John, Margaret, Henry, and Hannah. Peter Dorney, eldest son, was born Oct 2, 1771. He married May 9, 1797, to Mary Susanna Beck. She was born Sept 24, 1772, and died July 28, 1858. Children; John born 1802 died 1871, he married Elizabeth Biery, and had 8 children; Saloma wife of Henry Schantz; Kate, born and died, single in 1875; and William, born 1807, and died in 1881, he married Mary A. Mertz and had one son, Henry, and 4 daughters, Rebecca, married David Flexer, Emma, Maria, and Mattie A. Adam Dorney, 2nd son of Adam Sr., was born Sept 26, 1774, and died March 20, 1845 he married Mary Magdelane Bogert. She was born Oct 11, 1780, and died Oct 20, 1840. They are buried at the Salisbury Church. Solomon Dorney, son of Adam Jr. was born Feb 6, 1807 and died April 20, 1856. He married Susanna Sholl, d/o David. She was born Oct 27, 1810, died Nov 25, 1890. Children; Charles A., William T., Isabella, wife of Tilglman H. Dorney, Ellen, wife of C.H. Apple, and Mary, wife of Thomas B. Faust. Charles A.,was born May 20, 1844. He married Dec 10, 1864 to Caroline, d/o Charles Mertz. They had no children. He died May 8, 1903. The other children of Adam Dorney Sr., were John born 1778, Margaret, born 1800, married Christoper Mohr; Henry born 1786, died 1871, he married Mary Mertz and had children ( Peter, Tilghman, Henry, Eliza, wife of Edwin Acker,Mary Anne, wife of August Christ, of Bethlehem, Caroline, wife of Andrew Keck, Lucy, wife of Henry Ludwig, Clara, wife of Charles Litzenberger and Sarah, wife of Frank "Farry"). Hannah Doreny, youngest daugter of Adam Sr., was born Aug 25, 1783 and died March 9, 1844. She married Gen. Henry Mertz. They had "18" children.
