    3. Eileen, I found a few churchs. I have been doing research on Mauch Chunck and have found the following wepage - http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~carbdat/m&h/idx.htm. very useful. There is a section for church's It is possible that baptism's occurres at St. Mark's (go to http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~carbdat/m&h/mchist.htm#_St._Mark�s_Church. I also suggest to go to the page listed below it mentions that the first Catholic Church in Mauch Chunk was St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church. http://www.geocities.com/nesquehoning/new_page_3.htm Let me know if you find out anything. I am just beginning my search of family I believe descendant from residents of Mauch Chunk.
