Judy, If you check the 1850 census of Upper Towamensing twp in Carbon County, you will find Thomas McDaniel living with his parents, Robert & Elizabeth. They are living next door to Jacob & Polly Brown, Jacob being a brother of Simon Brown, and sons of Adam Brown and Magdalena Weitzel. Malinda is a daughter of Simon Brown. II do not have much more on the McDaniels, but I have research the Browns extensively since they are my direct line. Everything I gave to Dale Berger I have documented. I am back to George Brown B: prob before 1760, father of Adam, and his mother being Susanna ?. That has been my stumbling block. If you have anything this far back, please let me know.
