    1. [PACARBON] TAYLOR Family Photograph Album
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I’ve “rescued” an old photograph album which appears to have belonged to the TAYLOR Family of Bloomingdale, Pennsylvania.  I am having a difficult time determining which “Bloomingdale, PA” the TAYLOR Family lived in as there appear to be three in Pennsylvania.  A majority of the photographs in the album are unidentified; however, there are three letters in the front of the album all addressed to Miss M. Gertrude TAYLOR at Bloomingdale, PA.  A photograph in the back of the album is addressed “To Minerva” suggesting that the “M” may be from “Minerva”, though it is just a guess. I did find some information regarding Frank GREENWOOD who I believe appears in the album. I’ve included census information regarding the GREENWOOD Family below. Items in the album include: TAYLOR Family Photograph Album • Unidentified Group Photograph, W. E. Griswold Studio in New York City, 1890’s, infants to 70’s, I think some of the people included later are also in this photograph • Letter to Miss M. Gertrude TAYLOR of Bloomingdale, PA, Sept 25 1930 from Brooklyn, NY, inside an envelope with the note “The Chas. NEEDLE Hebrew Letter 1891” written on an envelope from the Palmer Photoplay Corporation in Hollywood, Calif. • Letter to Miss M. Gertrude TAYLOR of Bloomingdale, PA, Apr 11 1924 from Charles Scribner’s & Sons in New York City, regarding magazines on period furniture • Obit photograph of “The Late Professor Benton E. I descend from James' sister Rachel McDaniel who married Charles Haney, and had Lewis Haney who married Sophia Edgar, then from their daughter Harriet who married Henry Arner, then from Sophia Jeanette Arner who married 2nd George Dornbach of Schuylkill Co.. I did find a will of John Klotz of Mahoning, he is probably Christian Klotz father or brother. Christian married Elizabeth McDaniel and lived in Mahoning until her death in 1826. In John Klotz will, I think it was about 1823 but I would have to look that up, James McDaniel is listed as a debtor to the estate. There is no will just a probate. I would assume Lydia is his daughter, but not certain as of yet. Since James was born 1793, Lydia would most likely have been born about 1793 - 1805 for an estimate. How are you descended from James and Lydia Klotz McDaniel? I'd appreciate any information you have about his children, I only have one male with certainty, J. Thompson and his family. Another suspected brother is Robert of L. Towamensing. There are several of the children of James and Lydia that I am missing. Glad to hear from you about this! Judy

In 1870 Elisabeth is in Winfield Boro, Union Co. PA, as a widow. I'm trying to find any information about what happened to Jesse. When and where did he die ? Where was he buried ? Anything at all will be welcome including suggestions as to where to look next. Thanks in advance. Jim

    1. [PACARBON] Johannes Krum picture online
    2. Judy
    3. I was browsing for information on my Krum ancestors today and ran across an exciting portrait of Johannes Krum, Pennsylvania. It is a watercolor folk art painting of who I think is probably the son of Johannes Krum Sr. and wife Anna Margareth. Johannes was born in 1734 in Bad Marienberg Germany, to Paulus Crum and wife Anna Maria Lupp. He is the Johannes who located around Slatington Lehigh County in the 1750's. The only know birthdate I have is for Christian Krum, a son of Johannes and brother to John Krum. The portrait, (I'm hazzarding a guess here), looks to me like it was painted about 1830-45. It is just a thumbnail sketch of the painting so it is very small at the site. I have written for information regarding any possible enlargement which may be available, perhaps it is accessible by subscribing to the website. The web address for the picture is: http://www.davidrumsey.com/amico/amico967101-20084.html#record I would try copying and placing the address into your browser. If it doesn't bring up the page begin by reducing the address bit by bit and trying to access that way, removing address letters beginning from your left side. Judy

He shows in multiple census records in Penn Twp. Carbon from 1810, and is shown as age 67 in the 1850 census in Penn Twp., with Hetty Klotz. In 1810 he is living adjacent to Hon. John Klotz, I believe this family is likely in the Northampton (town) Northampton County census in 1800.There is another Christian Horn in Heidelberg Twp. One of his daughters, Mary, married Pierce Haney, the couple appear in the 1840 and 1850 census, leaving Carbon mid-1850's, resettling in Noble County Indiana. Lewis Haney, likely a brother of Pierce, married Esther Horn Klotz, a widow, in the mid-1850's. I am trying to find out if the Christian in Lehigh County and the Christian in Carbon are related in any way. Any and all help appreciated. Judy -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
