Kathy, I have Adam & Rachel Lauchnor having a daughter Maria born 5/19/1840. Can't tell you without looking where I got the inofrmation, however I do have more on the Lauchnors. Adam's sister Margreth was married to my GGgrandfather, John Phillips, who is my stumbling block. Have you ever come across any Phillis family members in your Lauchnor research? If you would like what I have on the Lauchnors, or have any specifoc questions, e-mail me directly. Maybe we can help each other. If I don't get right back to you, we'll be away for a few days, but I will respond. Good Luck, Sylvia

Maria Lauchnor 5 June 1857 in Mahoning, Carbon Co., PA. I believe that Maria was the daughter of Adam Lauchnor and Rachel Nothstein, but of course have no concrete proof. James, I believe is the son of Samuel Reinsmith, Jr. James and Maria came from Carbon Co. to Lake Odessa, Ionia Co., MI. After James' death, Maria can be found in the 1920 Census living with her sons David and John Adam in Fork, Mecosta Co., MI. I would like to get a copy of their marriage licence, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about it. Is there anyone who can confirm for me that I am on the right track, that Maria is in fact the daughter of Adam and Rachel? Thanks for your help Kathy Soukup
This came from the Bradley County Mailing List, thought it was worth passing on. 08/03/2003 CEDAR RAPIDS Web site owner charged with ID theft A man was charged Friday with identity theft and money laundering after a police investigation into two genealogy Web sites he ran. Elias Abodeely II operated the Web sites FamilyDiscovery.com and Genseekers.com from his home. Abodeely would take e-mail addresses of people who posted to the sites' forum pages, then send the victims an offer to become a member of the Web site for a fee of $19.99 to $59.99. The offer led victims to believe they had a five-day free trial period, but they were unable to cancel their memberships. Their accounts were already debited the fee amount. Cedar Rapids police arrested Abodeely after a two-year investigation into the genealogy Web site. He also faces theft and ongoing criminal conduct charges. Police said the investigation continues, and they expect additional suspects to be charged. Frances Rouse List Owner
David, I don't know their names, but at the old Presbyterian Cemetery in Summit Hill there is a monument to Jones. Perhaps his parents names listed. Good Luck, Pat Murphy-Valentini
Please, please understand, I can not change what I find in a history book. I can however, make a note, that I researched (if I did) whatever family and your case, Berto/Barto, and this is what I found, but then I have to prove it. It is up to the person or people that asked for that surnames look-up to do their own research. Sometimes I can help with service records, etc. At the National Archives (Rev. war pensions) their is no Berto, there is Morris, and Reuben Barto, NY Line. So you see, I cannot change the written word. Best Wishes, Geri
Tina, I think you might be disappointed in your search for St. Patrick's cemetery. They covered over the cemetery in the 1960's, and as far as I heard no one recorded those interred there. There is now a memorial at this site. If you find there is an index of names please email me, for my ggg Grandmother Brunker might be buried there. The Immaculate Conception church in Jim Thorpe is were I found the old records. It was a marriage record for my gg grand father and mother. Dated April 11, 1852 . I got the record in 1996 and the secretary at that time was Kathy Remmel. Phone was 717-325-2791 and call before 2:00 PM M,T,W,TH. Good luck, Jeff Brunker

Hi Listers! 1. Looking for an address for Sacred Heart Church in Nesquehoning. Also can anyone tell me how receptive they are to genealofy requests. I am looking for any records for Tony LaRusso and Frank LaRusso (brothers) and their familes. It has come to my attention that they owned plots in St Patricks Cemetery. 2. Also need an address for St. Patricks Cemetery. Thanks for any help!!! Tina
It's interesting that I am researching the Welsh JONES family of Montgomery Co., PA. Many were buried in an Odd Fellows cemetery there. The International Order of Odd Fellows is a fraternal organization, maybe like the Freemasons. Maybe it's just common for Welsh people to be IOOF (?). It's unfortunate that the John P. JONES who d. 1875 is nowhere online at RootsWeb's World Connect. David, I am interested in any answers you might get to this query. I have been told that I am also related to this John P. Jones, but I have not proof of this. I only know that he married a Mary Edwards from Tamaqua and he is buried in the Oddfellows Cemetery there. Do you have any more than this? I have my own Jones line - descendants at least - pretty well documented. But the ancestor line is harder simply because they are Joneses in Wales. I know no exact place where Daniel (my ggrandfather) might have come from there. It's always exciting to see someone else interested in the same family. Phylis Heller ps I have already corredponded with a David Jones who is my second cousin, I believe. Could you be that same person? The e-mail address is different, but since I haven't been in touch in quite a while, that could have changed. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, July 31, 2003 7:21 PM Subject: [PACARBON] John P.
