    3. This family is related to mine and can be found in Price, Violet (Hallett). The Price Family of Barrett Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. Boston: Christopher Publishing House, [1948]. John Price's wife was Sarah Wilkinson, dau of Ichabod Wilkinson from Providence, RI. She was a Quaker but the records are unclear as to whether he was. Since she stayed in the church it would seem probable that he was but she is the one that gets mentioned in the records. They and their eldest children, her sister, brother-in-law and his brother were taken captive by the Lenape, Seneca, and British and endured a similar journey (including the gantlet) as those of the Gilbert family. 3. In an effort to resolve a question (only important to me) related to the Hoeth massacre, and to figure out where the Hoeth property was, together with the Serfass property, and as a result where Fort Norris once stood, I mapped the surveys of the Hoeth property and surrounding tracts. Dale Berger shared a lot of his Serfass information with me and I wanted to show him, and others I work with and who share my interest in this area, what I learned--and what I learned of the land transactions of Frederick Hoeth. At this point, I'm confident the location of these tracts is as close to accurate as I can get. I'm continuing to map the areas around these tracts and only time will tell how right I am. But in the meanwhile, enjoy. Marie Robinson New e-mail address: [email protected] (no, the 50 is not for my age--I'm only 49--my husband apologized profusely for selecting it).

They have Birth Records from (1892-1905 - Inclusive.) The names are handwritten in a large book, includes parent's names, dates, location on most entries. They also have Marriage Records starting from 01 Oct 1885. And Wills from December 1843. The Recorder of Deeds has Deed and Mortgage Indexes, Grantor and Grantee from (1843 to Present.) The Archives/Records Dept across the street from the Courthouse on Susquehanna St. has additional information on Wills, Marriages, Births, etc.. but you need to get code numbers from the Orphan's Court first, for marriages, then go to the Archives building. Good luck !!!!
