She was the widow of Emery Hascin who died in 1976. Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Susan (Firitz) Scapura. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe. Surviving are two sons, Joseph and David, both of Jim Thorpe; a daughter Delores, at home; two brothers, John of Lansford and Steven, in New Jersey; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Goides of Lansford and Mrs. John Kokinda of Nesquehoning, and six grandchildren. Services at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the John H. Ring Funeral Home, 218 Center St., Jim Thorpe, will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in the church. Calling hours will be Monday evening.

One of these, Anna, subject,was the oldest and was born in Dr. Graem's house at 4th St. Phila, Nov 5, 1756. Anna married Dr. William Smith Nov 30, 1775. They moved to Bethlehem. Lehigh Co John Young, son of James and Jane, was born in Phila., Nov 6, 1756. He died in London, April 25, 1794 aged a little over 36y and 6mos, he is buried at St. Martin-in-the-Fields. Berks County History Weis, Samuel S. of Earl township, Berks Co., born Sept 15, 1830 Killian Weis, grandfather was born Dec 15, 1751, died Feb 16, 1840, buried in the cemetery at Hereford Mennonite Church at Bally. 1790 census records him at Upper Milford, Northampton Co. and his wife Catharine nee Landis and six sons, Jacob, John, George, Henry, Killian, Samuel, Ann married John Ehst, Kate married Henry Shelly and Hannah married Isaac Longacre. Upper Milford township lived Jacob Weis, brother of Killan Sr. In 1790 he had two sons and 3 daughters. Killian Weis, son of Killian Sr., was born Jan 21, 1788, died Dec 23 1874, his name has been spelled Weis and Wise. He married Barbara Shelly born Jan 31 1796 and died June 20 1886. Children; Jacob, Catharine, Franklin twin of Catharine, she died, Henry, Killian, Joel, died young, John, Elizabeth, Samuel. Members of the Mennonite Church.
