    2. Dear List Administrator, I have not received any mail from the rootsweb mail list for the past several days. I called the AOL Postmaster at 1-888-212-5537 to find out why this was happening as I belong to quite a few rootsweb mail lists. They told me that they had had such a flood of complaints from other AOL members because the AOL members were receiving so much spam mail with their rootsweb mail, AOL had to shut down all email going to all AOL members. I was not one of the ones who complained to AOL and I have not received any spam mail from any of the rootsweb mail lists. The AOL Postmaster told me that the only way this problem could be solved was that each List Administrator must contact the AOL Postmaster at this phone number 1-888-212-5537 and work with AOL to solve this problem. Until the List Administrator straightens out the problem with AOL, none of us who belong to AOL will receive any of the rootsweb mail. So please List Administrators call the above number and straighten out this mess. Janet

    3. When searching Pastoral records at Easton Public Library, Marx History Room, Easton, Northampton Co., PA I came across a William Washburn buried August 18, 1783, age 4. Due to the room closing, I did not ascertain which church of 4 that this William was buried in present day Carbon, Monroe, Lehigh & Northampton Counties. I will obviously return to find out. The Citation: "Pastoral Records, Marriages and Burials 1773-1787, Abraham Blumer - Reformed Minister Page 20 - Burials Call # H929.3 PA L1 B658H Discussion from Descendants of Jesse & Silence welcome. Opinions & Facts: 1. The only known WASHBURN family in the area during this time period are Silence & Jesse WASHBURN, children, and two unknown children of Jesse & 2nd wife, presumably Mary Rhodes. 2. This could be a son of Jesse Washburn & Mary Rhodes, Jesse Junior & Catherine, Daniel Washburn & Maria Barbara Helfrich, or Caleb & Unknown spouse. Most likely a son of Jesse Senior or Junior. 3. We do know from Daniel Washburn's personal account of the Wyoming Massacre which occurred in 1778 that those present were his father Jesse, & step-mother with two young children. 4. We have never known what happened to Jesse's second wife and those two small children or knowledge of their names so this could be one of them. The year of burial, 1783, fits Daniel's description of two small children in August of 1778. 5. Sarah Washburn, daughter of Jesse & Silence was married by this same pastor, Abraham Blumer, the same year of 1783 on February 04, to Jacob Andreas. Cheers! Ken Maxwell [email protected]
