    3. Hi: If you are looking for parents info, you might also try their Social Security applications. If they ever collected it, they would have had to fill one out eventually. Although most people were required beginning in the 1930s, there were exceptions. These applications have their parents names, date of birth and place of birth. And as they were filled out by the applicant themselves, rather than the next of kin as would be a death certificate, I think the chances of accuracy increases.
