Yesterday I found an old box marked "snapshots" in my mother's closet. I took it down, and it was full of miscellaneous things, but the very best part was an envelope at the very bottom which contained the whole "Emporium Independent" newspaper from Dec 23, 1915 with my great-grandfather Joshua Bair's obituary on the front page. There was also a whole page from May 1920 when my grandfather Patrick Burke was killed in the dynamite explosion, and other clippings. One of the clippings was from the 50th anniversary of Emporium Schools (1939) and it listed every member of every class for the whole 50 years. Do you have all the names now Mike, or are you still missing some? If you need any class, let me know. I will type some of the info from these papers for the list, and if Mike wants to add any of it to the website, go for it. What fun I had going through that box! Cathi
