Hi. I am researching the descendants of Seymour Hackett, the founder and editor of the newspaper the "Independent." My husband is a direct descendant of Seymour through his son Levi. Some of his daughters married into different families so here is a list of some of the names I am interested in - some of which may have moved to different counties in Pennsylvania: Hackett Doll Edsall Lewis Meacham Knowlton Mason Miller - Orlando's (Orrin) branch Spellenburg Kibler Burfield Danforth Murry - the family of David and Jane from Emporium I thoroughly enjoy reading all of the posted messages, even if they are not about my direct line. I am learning a lot about the area through reading them. Also, I have received information from Mike, Bob Spellenburg and another distant cousin that Mike hooked me up with. My grandmother was the third Ottilia (Spellenberg )Seelye daughter of Engelbert and Anna Elizabeth (Hoffman )Spellenberg, married to Robert Seelye. .If you do not have this family's information, please let me know and I'll fill you in.
