Hi Pete - Who is your Haynes ancestor. I have a Henry Haines and family who I have found in Cortland Co NY in 1830, Potter County (Hector) in 1850, and Beechwood, Cameron Co in 1870. Some of his sons changed the spelling to Hanes. Is your Haynes another spelling variation, or is it a completely different family? Laura Bent
