    3. Can someone help me with my challenge. On the St. Mike's Cemetery listing James C. Spahr senior and junior deaths are listed as 1994. 1st generation: James Edgar Spahr October 25, 1879 Germany died April 27, 1926 Eldorado, Saline County, Illinois married Gertrude Anna Conrad September 20, 1887 - October 18, 1966 (d/o Silas Conrad and Susan Donahue) They married November 1914 in Altoona, PA. Moved to Illinois After James Edgar Spahr died Gertrude Anna moved back to PA; later to marry Harry Callan in 1927. 2nd generation: James C. Spahr Sr born 1919 Eldorado, Saline County, Illinois - March 8, 1994 Loretto, Allegheny Twp, Cambria County, PA buried St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Loretto, Allegheny Twp, Cambria Co, PA Married Julia A. (unknown) 3rd generation: James C. Spahr, Sr and Julia had a son James C. Spahr, Jr born October 2, 1941 - September 20, 1994 buried St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Loretto, Allegheny Twp, Cambria Co, PA Then I find this obit: SPAHR, JAMES C., JR., 48, of Cresson. Missing on Lake Erie since September 21, 1990. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier's Catholic Church, Cresson, the Rev. David Roesch. Friday, October 19, 1990 page C9 This would make this James C. Jr, born about 1942. Could they have waited this long (from 1990 to 1994) to have a service for him???? Patrick Spahr"s body was found a week later. Harber and James Spahr were declared dead by a Cambria County judge in January. Ms. DiBello said friends of her father at the Cresson Sportsmens Club plan to resume a search of Lake Erie in the near future. >From Altoona Mirror 8 March 1994 Page B3 JAMES C. SPAHR Mr. Spahr, 74, of 200 High St., Cresson, died Monday, March 7, 1994, at Mercy Regional Health System. Mr. Spahr retired as a freight conductor from Conrail in 1980, after 39 years' service. He was born Nov. 17, 1919, in Eldorado, 1919, the son of James C. and Gertrude (Conrad) Spahr. He married Julie N. Moratti on May 10,1940, in Loretto. Surviving are his wife, four children: Susan Malesky of Summerhill, Peter of Cresson, and Paul and Sally Lenz of Lilly RD; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five brothers and sisters: Mary Ellen Rice of Loretto, Grace Santella and Dorothy McGeary of. Altoona, Jack of Falls Church, Va., and Joann Bradley of Dover, Del. Mr. Spahr was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Cresson. He was also a member of Cresson American Legion and St. Pietro Di Roma Italian Society, Cresson, and member and senior vice commander of Sankertown VFW. Mr. Spahr was an Army veteran ofWorld War II. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson. SPAHR-The funeral of James C. Spahr of 200 High St., Cresson, will be held with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Cresson, by the Rev. David Roesch. Interment at St. Michael's Cemetery, Loretto. Military graveside rites by Sankertown VFW and other local veterans organizations. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where a wake service will be held Wednesday afternoon and an American Legion memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Preceded in death by parents, sons: Samuel, James Jr. and Patrick, and brother, Charles.
