Source: Cecil Whig Newspaper Elkton, MD, page A5 Evelyn "Mae" Dawson Evelyn "Mae" Dawson, 88 of Calvert, MD, formerly of Hickory Hill, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Jennersville Regional Hospital, West Grove, PA. She was the wife of the late Millard "bud" Dawson with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. Born in Johnstown, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry Clair and Mary EllenKauffman Rummel. She was a member of St. John's Methodist Church for 50 years where she was the financial secretary and Sunday School Tacher for many years. She was secretarty for the United Methodist Women for several years. Mae was active in many community fund raisers. She was the former secretary of the Cecil County Homemakers. She also so volunteered for the Oxford Senior Center, Twilighters abd the snack bar and escort at Jennersville Regional Hospital for over 20 years. She loved traveling, Flowers and especially her family. She is survived by four sons: Robert L. of Lewisville, PA, William E. of Oxford, PA, Barry L. of Rising Sun, MF, Benjamin of West Nottingham, PA; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Two brothers; James Rummel of Rising Sun, MD, Harry Rummel of Johnstown, PA and one sister, Floretta Thomas of Wilmington, DE. She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be heldat 11 a.m. Monday, March 4 at St. John's United Methodist Church- 595 Lewisville Road, Elkton, MD. where friends and Family may call 10-11a.m. Friends and Family may also call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the Edward L. Collins Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 86 Pine Street, Oxford, PA. Interment will be in the adjoiining cemetery.
