North Cambria News, Hastings, PA, January 4, 1917 Mrs. Dr. David Libby, age 46, died of heart trouble and pneumonia. She was born Sara Jane Ashcroft in Clearfield County on October 3, 1817. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ashcraft, deceased. She is survived by her husband, Dr. David Libby, and one son, Fred. [Her daughter, Gertrude, died in 1916 at age 8.] [also by step-son, William Libby.] She is also survived by two brothers: Henry, of Iowa; and John, of BurnsidesTwp.[Clearfield County], Funeral services and interment were held at the East Ridge [United Methodist] Church and cemetery. I think her mother was Jane Lloyd and she was the youngest child, but I am remembering and not sure. Marilyn Kline Washington
