Over the years there have been a few questions about the Cresson TB Sanitorium or "The San" as Mom called it. I ran across this website about The San with pictures and some stories from the patients. There are some familiar Cambria Co names in the patient stories. My mother worked there from 1938 to the summer of 1941. The years are approximate as memory has failed. She worked as a nurse in "The Children's Home" the entire time, leaving in the summer to nurse her grandmother through a bout of pneumonia.
