    3. First marriage: Marriage Application+Marriage Lic.+Cert. Cambria County. Pa------------1907 parents: Frank & Jane Baker John & Della Nagle Vol. 32 pg. 356 married: Frank Baker (19)/Persilla P. Nagle (17) both of Amsbry, Pa. his guardian's name: Geo Cox [actually George E. Nagle] Cambria County Marriage Index 34-3 1907 NAGLE, Persillia P. BAKER, Frank 32-356 My notes: Jane [Margaret Jane Wills] married George E. Nagle 20 Mar 1893. Frank was raised with their children and assumed the Nagle surname - his tombstone in St. Thomas' even reads "Frank S. Nagle" but his legal name was Baker. It is entirely possible there was a civil ceremony between Frank Baker and Jane Wills. I haven't come across it yet and the oral family history is that Frank Serenius Baker was illegitimate so for the moment I'm sticking with the illegitimacy. Isaac Allen was Pearl's second husband (no children). Frank's second wife was Alice Elizabeth Gauntner (b. 29 Feb 1904, d. 8 Aug 1989). Frank and Alice had the following children: Robert, Albert and Dorothy Jane. Yes, somewhere there was a divorce. I don't know the date. Frank Baker (Nagle)'s last child with Pearl was born December 1915. His first child with Alice was born July 1943. A lot of space in there for a divorce and remarriage but I'm afraid I don't have the dates. I hope someone else does, though. (Deborah) Frank Serenius Baker's parents were not married. His Father was Frank Baker (no other information known on him). His mother was Margaret Jane Wills (d/o Henry Wills & Susan Stevens) b. 19 Jan. 1867 d. 14 Jan. 1903. Margaret Jane Wills later married 20 March 1893 to George Nagle (s/o Richard Nagle/Rose Ann Fresh) b. 3 July 1865. So Frank Serenius went at various times by name of Baker & other times by Nagle.(Lois Eckenrode Stafford) Pennsylvania Newspaper (BCGS), 15 JUN 1964 MRS.
