OBITUARIES Charles Makin Charles Makin, who recently underwent an operation for appendicitis, died at his home in Cambria township, Thursday and the funeral took place at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon. Interment was made in Lloyd’s cemetery. Howard A. Glass Howard A. Glass, the second son of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Glass of Cresson, died there Thursday night of consumption. The young man was 21 years of age, had been ill for a long time. His parents and a number of brothers and sisters survive. L. A. McGuire of Johnstown, was an uncle of the deceased. The funeral took place Sunday at Loretto. John C. Snyder John C. Snyder, of Gallitzin, died at the Jefferson Medical hospital at Philadelphia at 8:25 a.m., September 4, after having been there since August 28. He was born in Carroll township, Cambria county, and was aged 47 years. He is survived by his wife and four children; also by four brothers and four sisters. The funeral was held Monday at 10 a.m., from St. Patrick’s church, Gallitzin, interment being made in St. Patrick’s cemetery. James Lawrence Dishong James Lawrence Dishong, aged nineteen years and three days died of typhoid fever at 11:10 o’clock Saturday night at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James S. Dishong, in Jackson township, this county, where his parents and brothers and sister, eight in all are confined to their home with the same malady. The father and one of his daughters are lying at the point of death with the disease. Dr. H. F. Tonth of Johnstown is attending the family.
