Saturday, June 26, 1999, Record Courier, page A5, Ravenna - Kent, Portage, OH Mary Hill, 91 50 – year Eastern Star member Mary Ellen Hill, 91, of Ravenna Township, died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at home. Born April 7, 1908, in Lodi, she was the daughter of Harry and Georgia (Barnett) Adams. A Deerfield resident for 22 years, she moved to Ravenna Township in 1998. Mrs. Hill was a 50 – year – member of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 114, Palmy Chapter. Survivors include her son, David (Ruth) of Ravenna Township; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Orrin F., died in 1972 [1973] and her son, Orrin J., died in 1998. Her brohters, Joe, Henry, Eddie and Francis and sister, Anna Rollins, all died previously. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Shorts Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Ronald Wamer officiating. Burial will be in Mottown Cemetery in Deerfield.
