Monday, December 29, 1969, Akron Beacon Journal, Akron, Summit, OH Leo Weakland Firestone retiree Leo Weakland, 70, of 244 W. South st., died Sunday in St. Thomas Hospital. Born in Pennsylvania, he lived in Akron most of his life. He retired from Firestone five years ago, with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He leave his wife Blanche, three daughters, Leona at home; Mrs. Helen Bowen, Stow; and Mrs. Hilda Castlow [or Castlio], Mogadore; son Leo, Mogadore; sister Mrs. Grace Cochran and brother Leonard, both of Akron; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Saint Lawrence, PA.
