Friday, February 26, 1904 Mrs. Thomas Wilt Mrs. Thomas [John] Wilt [Catharine Ann Bender] of Ashville died at her residence at 2 oclock last Saturday afternoon of paralysis, aged about eighty-one years. She leaves three daughters: Mrs. Allie McGough [Alice Wharton] of St. Augustine, Miss Ella [probably Elamanda Wharton] of Greensburg and Mrs. Silas McGough [Mary Rosalia Wharton] of Altoona and one son, James Wharton of St. Augustine. Deceased was a member of St. Augustine Catholic church. The funeral services were held at St. Augustine church on Tuesday morning. [Note: Her son, Charles Dominic Wharton, and daughter, Margret Ellen Wharton, were not mentioned, but still living.
