    2. Deaths from The Register, Hollidaysburg, Blair Co., PA. GALLAGHER - Frank Gallagher, a resident of Johnstown, was drowned some days ago while attempting to cross the Monongahela river at McKeesport. His remains were brought to Johnstown for interment. Wed. 19 Feb. 1873 issue. PALMER - On Tuesday evening week, James Palmer, dispatcher for the past nine years at Conemaugh, was run over by a locomotive and had both of his legs mashed that it was necessary to amputate them. He died in a short time afterwards. Wed. 19 Feb. 1873 issue. CHRISTIANS - J. Christians, a German shoemaker, Conemaugh, committed suicide at the above place, on Friday last, by hanging himself to a rafter in the loft of his shop. Domestic trouble and financial embarrassments.
