    1. [PACAMBRI] The New Year and genealogy

    3. from a member of the Allegheny Co, PA list: Dear Genealogy Friends, As I bring good wishes to you all for a Happy New Year, I realize that 2009 is going to be a critical year for most all of us & our genealogy is going to be a happy diversion in a world that contains more challenges than ever. That is why I would like to call your attention to how much our ancestors did to bring a better life to all of us & that we now have the responsibility to not only honor them with our remembrance of them but to uphold what they have done to the best of our ability. Therefore, I am adding this fairly short but powerful item that I have recited often in the last 37 years & hope you will truly examine what it says. Some of you may never have heard it or not paid that much attention to it, so here it is, with all my hope for all of us to, care, love & respect each other more than any other time in our lives. God Bless One & All THE AMERICAN'S CREED BY William Tyler Page I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed, a democracy in a republic, a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies. -Written 1917, accepted by the United States House of Representatives on April 3, 1918.

    3. AlThat was just beautiful. My oldest grandson won an award for writing about veterans for the third year. He made the state level two years ago and is going to go again this year. He just has a knack for writing. I am so very proud of him. He is 17 years old.Barbtipperboo12@msn.com> Date: Thu, 1 Jan 2009 14:51:38 -0500> To: PA-PITTSBURGH@rootsweb.com; pacambri@rootsweb.com> From: alenkner@stargate.net> Subject: [PA-PITTSBURGH] The New Year and genealogy> > > > > Dear Genealogy Friends,> > As I bring good wishes to you all for a Happy New Year, I realize that> any other time in our lives.
