(Story on Page 28). She was born Sept. 24, 1910, in Loretto, the daughter of Francis and Helena (Bishop) McConnell, and married Regis Criste. Surviving are her husband, eight children: Robert of Lynchburg, Va.: Sister Loretta RSM of Hastings, Peggy Fegan of Gainesville, Va.; Therese DesRosiers and Bernadette Sheedy of Arlington, Va.: Helena of Falls Church, Va., Francis Burke in Virginia and Judith Herzlinger of Corona Del Mar, Calif., and 25 grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother and sister: Louis of Loretto RD and Esther of Newton Falls, Ohio. Mrs. Criste was a member of the Legion of Mary of St. Michael's Catholic Church and Third Order Secular Carmelites, Loretto. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson. Funeral Notice CRISTE - The funeral of Mary Ellen Criste of Loretto RD 1 will be held with a mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Michael's Catholic Church, by Father Joseph Weidmann. Interment in church cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where a wake service will be held at 8 p.m. today. I'm not sure where there exact towns of birth were, but I know they were both from Cambria County. Probably Cresson, Ebensburg, Gallitzin, Loretto or Munster.
