    3. Hi everyone, I tried a search for "Anna M." ( no last name) b. Pennsylvania 1869, living in Antis Twp., Blair Co. for 1900. Only two came up. One born Feb 1869 was Anna M. Laird, single and living with her mother, and the other was Anna M., b. Mar 1869 and living with her husband Alexander Wills! in Bellwood, no children. Is this Basil's daughter married to a cousin? I also found an online family tree with Anna Mae, d/o Basil, married to Alexander Wills, not that that proves anything. The tree does not give parents for Alexander. In 1880, David Crook is a boarder living in the household of James Wills (b abt 1847) and his wife Agnes in Antis Twp. James lives between Frank Wills and Basil Wills followed by John D. Wills. Father and sons all living in a row. So that's likely how David Crook came to know Basil's daughter Margaret. Jane, I think you could be right about James Wills being the same as Jacob "Cherry." There is no marriage record for Basil and Mary Moran and no baptismal record for a James Will(s). There is a baptismal record for Mary Wills whose parents are listed as Basil and Mary Moran. from CATHOLIC VITAL RECORDS OF CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA, Rev. A. Ledoux, Vol. III, page 3, record #0079: WILL, Mary (Basil/Mary Moran) b. __-__-1848 HPG St. Michael's, Loretto The baptism is in sequence with others in May 1851, so it appears the child was not baptized until after Basil married Hannah Irwin unless it was just inserted in the register out of sequence. (The following baptism also has no dates.) So that leaves room for all kinds of speculation about how Jacob/James Cherry/Sherry came to be living with Basil and Hannah (Irwin) Wills. But it appears that he continued to live with them and used Wills as his surname. I'll try to do some more poking around for clues as to the husbands of the daughters.
