The KKK ws very active in Blair and Cambria Counties. Many of the members were very "important people" and therefore probably not too many articles would appear in the local papers. Several of my ancestors belonged to the KKK until my Grandmother found out about it and put a stop to them belonging. My mother (born 1917) said Grandmom took their KKK white robes and cut them up and made dresses for girls in the family. So a KKK robe turned into a dress that went to Sunday School every week!
